There are many lakes in the area and you can take a fishing tour or go boating.
Activities and Events
Hot Springs has one casino, Oaklawn Racing Casino & Resort, where you can have a great night out for gaming or just watching the action. You may also want to plan your vacation around the many events that are hosted in town. The Hot Springs Fishing Challenge from May – July is one of the most famous. Other events include Exhibits at Justus Fine Art Gallery and other galleries in May as well as the Hot Springs Children’s Dance Theatre Company productions. There is the Veteran’s Car and Bike Show, Opening Day of the Mid-America Science Museum and the Northwoods Full Moon Ride. People come from all over the country in the first two weeks of June for the Hot Springs Music Festival.
Spring and fall are the best times to visit Hot Springs if you want to avoid the crowds. The prices may be lower at this time, but if you have a Hot Springs timeshare this isn’t your problem.
