giants or watch from the cliffs where you get excellent views of them swimming by.

Great Children’s Activities

Children especially love the Ixtapa Bike Trail that leads to an ecological reserve Parque Aztlan in Playa Linda. You get to see wildlife such as iguanas, crocodiles, tropical birds and much more and there is a beach nearby where you can cool off with a swim. Your Ixtapa timeshare is also the starting point for a visit to Isla Ixtapa which makes a great day trip. It has some of the best diving and snorkeling on the Pacific Coast and a good swimming beach, especially for children. There is a healthy coral reef teeming with marine life for great snorkeling and small cafes along the beach.

Ixtapa has two championship golf courses and several local restaurants and nightclubs where you can dine under the stars. If you prefer something different, try a sunset cruise where you can dine and dance on the open seas. Another highlight of a vacation in Ixtapa is swimming with the dolphins.

A Blend of History and Nature

History aficionados are not left out. They may enjoy the Museo de Arqueologia de la Costa Grande. It has several amazing collections of historical and cultural significance that date back to the Stone Age. You can also take an Ecological and Adventure Kayak tour. See mangrove forests, thousands of birds, iguanas and other wildlife. The concierge at your Ixtapa timeshare can help you charter one of many different types of boats for deep sea fishing or rent a bicycle or motorcycle and take a tour of the local mountains. There are many excellent restaurants from gourmet fine dining to local cafes right on the beach where you can go barefoot. As you would expect, fresh seafood is the preferred menu item.

Nearby Zihuatanejo is a charming authentic fishing village just 15 minutes from Ixtapa. You can stroll along the waterfront promenade and sample the fantastic local dishes. It is also an artist’s enclave and the independent boutiques offer prices that are less than in the larger towns.

The high season is from December to April. You can escape the cold northern winter and rainfall is rare during this time. Prices may be higher than later in the summer, but this won’t be your problem when you have accommodation at your Ixtapa timeshare.
