Some of the parks in the area are home to basketball and other athletic courts, a nine-hole golf course and an amazing observatory. Called the Apache-Sitegraves Observatory, it lets you get a completely different look at the night's sky. Willow Springs Lake is one of the top lakes near Overgaard and is a popular fishing spot. Not far away is Woods Canyon Lake, which offers fishing and boating.

Oktoberfest and Other Things to Do

Oktoberfest is one of the top festivals in the Overgaard area. Hundreds of people head to the Tall Timbers Park in October. Open on both Saturday and Sunday, the festival includes arts and crafts vendors, live entertainment and plenty of food. The Rock House Museum is the best place to learn about the history of both the nearby town of Heber and Overgaard.
