Stanley Park, Granville Market and three famous comedy clubs. The Vancouver Aquarium, Science World and Vancouver Art Gallery are all worth a visit. If you dare, take a walk across Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver.
For night-time fun, Granville Street is where the younger crowd gathers. Several of the city’s top 10 night clubs are there. You may spot the rich and famous at the clubs in Yaletown. The clubs are ultra-trendy, but if you want elegance and glamour, try Gastown in Vancouver’s historic center.
World Class Winter Sports
Just a two-hour drive from Vancouver is one of the most famous ski resorts in the world. Whistler, the home of the 2010 Winter Olympics is a skiing and snowboarding haven with its famous Peak 2 Peak Gondola that joins Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.
Skiing is just the beginning of the outdoor recreation available from a British Columbia timeshare. Yoho National Park has some rugged mountain terrain with hiking trails into the wilderness where there are lakes, rivers, waterfalls and meadows surrounded by snow-capped peaks. One of the highest waterfalls in North America, Takakkaw Falls, is in this park.
Try the Interior
For a more relaxing time, you may visit Okanagan Valley. In the interior of the province, the Okanagan is a beautiful area with lakes, beaches, orchards and the requisite mountains. There is Lake Okanagan that is great for house boating and other water sports. You will find several championship golf courses in the valley.
Vancouver Island is listed in the top three vacation destinations in the world. You can reach it by ferry or plane. It is the largest island on the Pacific Coast of North America and home to the beautiful city of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. Just outside Victoria is Butchart Gardens with an amazing display of trees, plants and flowers. It covers 20 hectares with brilliant blooms, water features and themed gardens.
If you are looking for the most extreme mountainous wilderness, you will find it in Glacier National Park and Mount Revelstoke National Park. With steep descents and narrow trails, it may not be the best place for beginners. If you get there, you will see old-growth trees, bears, caribou, mountain goats and much more wildlife on the numerous hiking trails.
For natural mountain beauty, you can’t beat British Columbia. The most affordable accommodation anywhere in the province is a British Columbia timeshare. You will have all the comforts of home and the amenities of a first-class resort.
