Posted on February 10, 2023

Can you believe that it’s February already? That means Spring Break is close at hand and if you are in the northern part of the country you’re probably already looking forward to a trip down south. Whether it is taking the kids on a quick vacation or college students heading to the beach, it’s time to check out the best Spring Break spots. And Wyndham has some terrific timeshare resorts that will meet your needs just fine.

Florida tends to be the magnet for Spring Break travelers, but there are other spots to check out as well with great Wyndham timeshares. Even in Florida there are a range of places to hit the beach, but you’ll see some alternatives below depending on the time of the season you visit.

Spring Break can mean different things for different people. The beach is the most obvious, but you may want a golf getaway or perhaps a spot for some shopping or a trip to the casinos. Your break could be in late February if you’re heading to the Daytona 500, or as late as April for a South Carolina stay.

The Best Spring Break Spots for a Wyndham Timeshare Trip

Clearwater Beach Florida for Spring Break

Our frequent readers will know that we release our lists based on the buyer offers placed through our online platform. In this case, we not only looked at offers on these Wyndham timeshares but the locations as well, since Spring Break is most closely associated with some southern comfort.

While Florida tends to dominate our list, there are a couple of spots that would make for a great alternative destination. And we also have a place in California for our West Coast readers.

Because drive-to destinations are the most popular type for these getaways (usually because there is less preplanning and cost involved), we’ve steered clear of more remote fly-to locations. So, let’s check them out.

Wyndham Ocean Boulevard (North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina)

Wyndham Ocean Boulevard timeshare North Myrtle Beach

One of the top three most popular Wyndham timeshare resorts in our system, Wyndham Ocean Boulevard is on a wonderful stretch of beach in the North Myrtle Beach area. This would be a trip later in the season, most notably in April when the average daytime temperature reaches 72F (22C) and great for some fun in the sun for the northerners.

Barefoot Landing is your place for shopping, restaurants and live entertainment in North Myrtle Beach, while the resort has heated indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and eight hot tubs. Choose from one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom suites.

Wyndham Ocean Walk (Daytona Beach, Florida)

Wyndham Ocean Walk timeshare Daytona Beach

Spring Break always kicks off in Florida, and what better place than at the “World’s Most Famous Beach.” Wyndham Ocean Walk is just the right spot for your Daytona Beach vacations, sitting right on the beach just a half-mile from the Main Street Pier and even closer to the start of the Boardwalk.

The average daytime temperature is 71F (22C) in February, climbing to 74F (23C) in March and warming up further as you head through Spring. Indoor and outdoor pools, lazy river, water slide, games and even a bar for your favorite refreshments. One-, two-, three- and four-bedroom suites make it all possible.

Wyndham Seawatch Plantation (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina)

Wyndham Seawatch Plantation timeshare Myrtle Beach

You may be tempted to combine Myrtle Beach with North Myrtle Beach to create one large vacation destination – but don’t tell that to the locals. The weather may be the same, but most are very particular about their slice of South Carolina paradise.

Myrtle Beach gets most of the attention with the SkyWheel, Boardwalk, shopping, live entertainment and dozens of championship golf courses that bring visitors from across the country.

Wyndham Seawatch Plantation is the place to be, on the beach, just a mile from the upscale shopping at Tanger Outlets and even closer to the Rees Jones designed Arcadian Shores Golf Club. The one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom suites give you access to the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, indoor and outdoor hot tubs and more.

Wyndham Vacation Resorts Panama City Beach (Panama City Beach, Florida)

Wyndham Panama City Beach timeshare

This magnificent stretch of Florida Gulf Coast beach has been a draw for Spring Break getaways for decades. Known as the Emerald Coast, the waves are smaller so this is the perfect place for families with small children to enjoy the Gulf waters. Because it is slightly further north than other Florida spots, March is when it starts to warm up with daily average temps at 73F (23C) and up to 79F (26C) in April.

Wyndham Vacation Resorts Panama City Beach is directly on the beach and the perfect place for a coastal trip. Every suite has a view of the Gulf of Mexico and guests get discounts to play golf at the nearby Wyndham Bay Point Resort. Heated outdoor pool, hot tub, pool bar and the unique Sky Bar are just a few of the amenities to enjoy from your studio, one-, two- or three-bedroom suite.

Wyndham Majestic Sun (Destin, Florida)

If a different Florida Gulf Coast location is what you’re after – maybe closer to Pensacola and the Alabama State Line, then Destin has just what you need for some Panhandle pleasure.

On a barrier island next to the Henderson Beach State Park, the beaches are terrific along with the tennis, watersports and fishing, plus shopping and dining at HarborWalk Village. March highs average 70F (20C) with the temps reaching 76F (25C) in April.

Wyndham Majestic Sun is the resort of choice according to our customers, but there are a number of Wyndham timeshare resorts in the area. Majestic Sun overlooks the blue waters of the Gulf with direct beach access, indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub and golf at the Seascape Golf Club. Get it all from your one-, two- or four-bedroom suite.

Wyndham Palm Aire (Pompano Beach, Florida)

Wyndham Palm Aire timeshare Pompano Beach

South Florida is legendary for Spring Break activities and Pompano Beach will give you the vibe without the hectic pace that can sometimes come with this time of the year. About 10 miles north of Fort Lauderdale, you can choose between the high-octane activity to the south or enjoy a more relaxed time where you are. The weather is great, with temps averaging 77F (26C) in February, 80F (27C) in March and 83F (29C) in April.

Next to the Palm Aire Country Club, Wyndham Palm Aire gives you access to golf, the beach, eclectic shopping options and gambling at Harrah’s Casino.  Onsite, check out the heated outdoor pool, sauna, hot tub, sports court, beach volleyball and grab a drink at the pool bar. Studio, one-, two- and four-bedroom suites let you enjoy it all.

Wyndham Ocean Ridge (Edisto Island, South Carolina)

Wyndham Ocean Ridge timeshare Edisto Island

This jewel is tucked away on the southern end of the island near Edisto Beach, about an hour south of Charleston, SC between Charleston and Savannah, GA. March is a bit on the cooler side at 66F (19C) during the day with April lifting to an average 73F (22C).

Look for a true throwback to a slower pace, with the town featuring a grocery store, a handful of restaurants and some specialty shops. Here, it’s all about the natural environment.

Wyndham Ocean Ridge is the respite you need, with 300 wooded acres featuring lagoons that are perfect for a kayak excursion or just relaxing amongst nature. Bicycles, boating, fishing and the beach are the main attractions, with onsite sports courts, swimming pool, hot tub, playground, mini-golf and the real 18-hole variety ready for your arrival. So are the one-, two- and four-bedroom suites.

Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort (Oceanside, California)

Wyndham Oceanside Pier timeshare California

A delightful spot between Los Angeles and San Diego, this seaside town features great beaches, breweries, cafes, restaurants, bike trails, museums, galleries and the longest active pier in California. Go fishing, boating, golfing, whale-watching or even try your hand at surfing.

The weather is moderate, but keep in mind that it can be a bit cooler than its East Coast rivals with daytime averages of 64F (18C) in March, 66F (19°C) in April and 68F (20C) in May.

Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort is right in the heart of all the action, across from the Pier with easy access to the beach and within walking distance to downtown. Heated outdoor pool, sauna and hot tub let you leave your cares at home, while the Sky Lounges on the 7th floor of each tower provide terrific views. One-, two-, three- and four-bedroom suites give you all the comfort you need.

Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach (Clearwater Beach, Florida)

Wyndham Clearwater Beach timeshare

One of the great beach communities in the country, Clearwater Beach continually ranks in the top 10 of the best beaches in America. Between the wide, clean sandy beach, the mild waves of the Gulf of Mexico and the numerous watersports, Clearwater Beach is always near the top of possible Spring Break destinations.

With average daily temperatures of 72F (22C) in February, 76F (25C) in March and 81F (28C) in April, it is a tremendous choice to not only explore the beach but also the things to do in the greater Tampa Bay region.

Of all the accommodation options, Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach provides exactly what you are looking for in a home base to explore the area. Convenient to the Clearwater Causeway, you’re within walking distance to Pier 60 and the cafes, restaurants and beaches along the way.

Onsite, enjoy access to the beach, swimming pool, hot tub, bar and dining options and even a massage at the Pallavi Spa. Activities abound from your one-, two- and four-bedroom suite.

While these may be our best Spring Break spots for a Wyndham timeshare, they are by no means the only ones. With nearly 250 resorts in the Wyndham network, there are plenty of destinations for any type of vacation.
