Timeless and charming, Disney Boardwalk Villas is one of the most popular resorts at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Deluxe accommodations and amenities along with a waterfront location promise memorable experiences throughout every stay.

Orlando is one of the top vacation destinations in the U.S. and the enormous Disney World complex is the main reason for this popularity. It boasts no fewer than four diverse theme parks, two water parks and an exciting dining and shopping area known as Disney Springs. Several other attractions and activities are available onsite, making it possible to enjoy a complete vacation without ever leaving Disney World.

Stay at the Disney Boardwalk Villas

Disney offers dozens of onsite accommodation options but some of the most deluxe are the Disney timeshares at Disney Boardwalk Villas.

Staying at these Orlando timeshares is similar to staying at a hotel, but you'll soon discover that there are advantages. For instance, Disney timeshare resorts offer you some of the best locations within Disney World. This particular resort is found on Disney's BoardWalk, a charming and colorful spot on Crescent Lake. The atmosphere here is reminiscent of an idealized Atlantic City of the 1940s.

If you want great access to the theme parks, then this is the perfect place to stay. You can walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios from your unit. Other destinations and theme parks within Disney World are available to resort guests via buses or watercraft transportation across the lake.

Why Choose These Disney Timeshares?

In addition to a spectacular location and breathtaking views, this resort has a great deal to offer guests. Active families love it here because of the tennis courts, jogging paths and surrey bike rentals. There is even a gym called Muscles & Bustles Health Club that features a full menu of workout equipment. From weight training to cardio, you can definitely keep up with your fitness routine here.

The resort even shows Movies Under the Stars, highlighting classic Disney favorites on the big screen. A playground delights little ones with plenty of imagination and hours of fun.

Disney resorts excel at providing stunning pool complexes, and this one is no exception. The Luna Park Pool has an incredible 200-foot-long slide that thrill-seekers of all ages will love. Elephant statues spout water from their trunks, and there's even a separate pool for little ones. A whirlpool spa is available for adults hoping to relax and unwind. Speaking of relaxing, the resort boasts two additional leisure pools that are far more tranquil.

Dining at the Resort

When you're not enjoying a fishing excursion on Crescent Lake or playing at the theme parks, you'll need a good place to eat. Fortunately, Disney Boardwalk Villas offers you plenty of delectable options.

For fine dining, make a reservation at Flying Fish Café, which specializes in prime steaks and sustainable seafood. When you are in the mood for Italian, head over to Trattoria al Forno. Serving meals in a casual setting, the portions are hearty and the food is delicious. Big River Grille & Brewing Works also is onsite. A family-friendly microbrewery, Big River serves American pub fare and award-winning brews.

More casual options include the ESPN Club, BoardWalk Bakery, Ample Hills Creamery, the Pizza Window and the Funnel Cake Cart. If you are in the mood for a drink, you'll have choices such as Jellyrolls, AbracadaBar and Leaping Horse Libations. Of course, like other Disney resorts, you can have room service delivered to your suite.

Accommodations at Disney Boardwalk Villas

Guests have plenty of options from which to choose, depending upon how large their party is and how opulent they want their surroundings to be. At all accommodation levels, guests may choose from a standard view of the parking area or resort grounds, a view of the Disney BoardWalk and a view of the gardens and pool.

The deluxe studios sleep up to five and typically have one queen-sized bed, one full-sized sleeper sofa and a single pull-down bed. One full bathroom has a separate area for the toilet and shower, and there is a private, furnished balcony. Deluxe studio timeshare units have kitchenettes, a microwave and a small refrigerator so that guests can prepare simple meals. A toaster and coffee maker are included as well.

Upgrading to a one-bedroom villa provides more square footage and more sumptuous surroundings. Typically, these rooms sleep four guests, but it may be possible to accommodate a fifth guest in some villas.

Guests may prefer these rooms because they have a full kitchen complete with dishwasher, dishes, utensils, pots and pans and a full-size refrigerator as well as a stove and oven. These villas even have a washer and dryer so that busy families can do laundry on the go. A whirlpool tub makes things relaxing. The bedroom features a king-sized bed while a queen-sized sleeper sofa is found in the living area.

If you have a party of up to eight guests, then you may opt for a two-bedroom lock-off timeshare villa. These accommodations have one king-sized bed in the master bedroom, a queen-sized bed in the guest room, a full-sized sleeper sofa, a queen-sized sleeper sofa and a single pull-down bed. A ninth guest can be accommodated in these villas, which have all of the same amenities as the one-bedroom villas. However, these rooms have three private balconies.

Larger parties of 12 may choose a three-bedroom grand villa timeshare with a BoardWalk view. Equipped with one king-sized bed, four queen-sized-beds and one queen-sized sleeper sofa, these villas accommodate the largest groups in comfort and style. A large dining room and connected private balcony make it easy for everyone to get together.

Four Theme Parks

Disney Cinderella Castle

Disney World's theme parks are special places to visitors from all over the world. Many of the attractions are based on beloved movies and cartoon characters, and with live entertainment, parades and fireworks shows thrown in, there truly is something for everyone.

Each of the four theme parks is built around a central idea. Magic Kingdom was the first theme park at Disney World. Modeled after Walt Disney's original theme park in California, Disneyland, Magic Kingdom has some similar rides and attractions. However, many of these have significant differences, and several of the park's rides are found only at Disney World, making this a favorite with many visitors.

Disney World's second theme park is EPCOT. This massive complex is divided into two lands: Future World and World Showcase. Future World lets visitors explore a vast range of scientific and educational topics in a fun and fascinating manner while the World Showcase makes it possible to take a stroll around the world with stops in diverse places such as France, Norway, China and Morocco.

Disney's Hollywood Studios brings the fun and magic of moviemaking to life. While visiting, guests have the opportunity to test their mettle at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, experience the fun of the Toy Story movies and sample the golden era of Hollywood.

The fourth park is Animal Kingdom. It showcases animals and landscapes from around the globe through unique experiences like the Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest and Dinosaur. This park's newest addition is a section celebrating the movie Avatar. Several ground-breaking attractions make this a top place to visit for many guests.

Beyond Disney World

Dolphin at Seaworld

Many people come to Orlando just to "do" Disney World, but there is actually a lot to discover beyond the park's gates. Other theme parks in the region include Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando. Your family also might want to check out International Drive, which boasts miles of shopping, dining and entertainment options. From Ripley's Believe It or Not! to Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf, there is a little something for everyone on International Drive.

Take your family racing at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games or tour Pointe Orlando where you can taste the cuisines of the world, shop 'til you drop and find entertainment galore.

Are you looking for something totally different? Consider touring the Orlando Museum of Art, the Kennedy Space Center, the Harry P. Leu Gardens or Blue Spring State Park. An Orlando timeshare truly offers something for every member of the family.
