During your first Sunday at the Resort, be sure to stop by the Welcome Party for a friendly resort greeting. The winding Cumberland River provides a scenic backdrop to the onsite amenities and services available at Wyndham Nashville.

Two large outdoor swimming pools are the perfect family hangout or cool down during hot summer afternoons, and the outdoor hot tub gives vacationers the chance to unwind and relax in style. Some of the more family-friendly activities include the basketball court, table tennis, outdoor playground, and special kid’s activities that will keep the little ones occupied.

Inside, a generous fitness studio with workout machines and free weights will help you stay in shape during your trip, and an indoor swimming pool provides an alternative to the outdoor pools if the weather turns inclement.

The onsite concierge desk can assist you in making your Nashville travel plans. If the weather turns rainy or you want to spend an afternoon inside enjoying the in-suite DVD player, DVD rentals are available at the resort's video library.

Dining and shopping are offsite but can be found close to the resort at the local restaurants, or a few miles away in downtown Nashville. For those who want to shop until they drop, the massive Mills Outlet Mall is only a mile away. Onsite, there are picnic and barbecue areas where timeshare owners can gather for family picnics and hang out during the sunny summer afternoons.

Things to Do in Nashville

Shopping, dining, and live entertainment surround these Wyndham timeshares, especially if you are a country music lover coming to enjoy a show or two at the Grand Ole Opry, which is only one mile from the resort.

Other nearby attractions include the beloved Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, where you can learn about Country Music's brightest stars and see other popular sights, like a Cadillac that had once belonged to Elvis, or the Museum's iconic 40-ft guitar. Tours of RCA Studio B, aka the 'Home of 1,000 Hits' can be seen on scheduled tours conducted by the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The iconic Ryman Auditorium, Tennessee Performing Arts Center, and the General Jackson Showboat are all within ten miles of Wyndham Nashville. The General Jackson Showboat offers both lunch and dinner tours up and down the Cumberland River, complete with music, and an after-dark tour that lets you see Nashville's skyline lit up for the night.

Broadway in Nashville

Outside of the musical attractions, there is a lot to do around Nashville for both couples and families. The Nashville Zoo is an excellent day trip for families, with its 3,000 animals and up-close exhibits, as well as a children's play area inside. Downtown Nashville is a destination in itself with its Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline Museum, many theaters, shopping and the best honky tonk nightlife up and down Broadway.

Nashville's history and culture are close at hand with a Wyndham Nashville timeshare. The Belle Meade Historic Site transports the visitor back to the 1800s with its original log cabins. Here you can also explore both sides of the history of this site - the Greek Revival Mansion and the Jackson Family, and also the story of the enslaved persons through the Journey to Jubilee tour.

The 55-acre Cheekwood Estate includes the 1930s Georgian mansion and some of the most beautiful exotic plants in the Nashville area. And the Frist Art Museum, housed in a 1930s former Post Office, is filled with world-class pieces of art, and art-making stations beloved by family visitors.

Best Times to Visit These Wyndham Timeshares

Spring and Summer are the two busiest seasons in Nashville, so if you plan on booking your stay to coincide with either summer or spring break, it would be a good idea to plan ahead as far as possible to stay at your timeshare. June through August can be fairly humid so in addition to visiting indoor sites such as the museums, you should also plan on spending some quality time in the resort's swimming pools.

March through May at Wyndham Nashville is especially busy at gardens such as Cheekwood, where 250,000 flowers burst into bloom. Both spring and summer are popular times for music festivals, concerts, and live shows because of the beautiful weather and steady tourism.

Fall and winter are the two slower seasons in Nashville. Rain and occasional snow may detract from outdoor activities but may make the museums and other major Nashville attractions easier to enjoy as there are fewer crowds than in the summer or spring months.

From late November through December, you will see downtown Nashville lit up with thousands of holiday lights, and if you are coming during the holiday season, Gaylord Opryland’s A Country Christmas show cannot be missed. You are sure to find gifts for every country music lover in your family at one of the museums or stores downtown.

So, no matter when you visit your Nashville timeshare, you are sure to make beautiful family memories inspired by the country music legends and wonderful people who call this city home.
