With nearly 100 resorts under the WorldMark name and many more affiliated through its relationship with Wyndham, the WorldMark timeshare program is one of the largest in the world.
WorldMark resorts can be found in 19 states across America as well as Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean island of St. Thomas and the South Pacific nation of Fiji. Over 250,000 members are part of the WorldMark timeshare program known as WorldMark the Club, which is operated by WorldMark by Wyndham.
Developed as one of the first points-based timeshare programs of its kind, WorldMark is known as a pure points program, meaning that ownership is not deeded to a particular resort. The program operates more like a travel club, where points are purchased and used to book accommodation or travel products.
Points, otherwise referred to as credits, are renewed on an annual basis and act as a type of vacation currency, where they can be used to reserve accommodation at any of the WorldMark timeshare resorts. WorldMark credit owners can book accommodation up to 13 months in advance of their requested vacation dates, providing plenty of time to plan your trip.
Owners can also borrow credits from next year’s use in case they want to add them into their current use year for a special getaway. Credits that are not used will carry over into the following year and expire then, with carry-over credits deducted first, followed by the current year’s credits.
One of the big benefits of WorldMark timeshares are the variety of units sizes and layouts. Units range from studio size through to four-bedroom Penthouse configurations with multiple bathrooms and nearly 2,000 square feet of living space. It’s condo-style vacation living at its finest.
WorldMark points can also be used for items such as cruises and tours through various programs like TravelShare, plus Wyndham hotels due to WorldMark and Wyndham both coming under the management of Travel + Leisure.
For vacationers looking for trips out west, WorldMark is a great program as the majority of resorts are located west of the Mississippi. That said, WorldMark also offers eastern resort destinations in top spots like Orlando, Daytona Beach, south Florida, the Myrtle Beach area and Shawnee-on-Delaware near Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains.
Since WorldMark was created in the Pacific Northwest in 1989 under the former Trendwest Resorts, it isn’t surprising that many of their resorts are on the West coast. You’ll see that reflected in our list below of the most popular WorldMark timeshare resorts for 2022.
These resorts are shown in reverse order, counting down to the most popular resort according to inquiries and offers placed through our platform last year. See which ones peak your interest.
