A charming, Victorian-style resort inspired by the original Saratoga Springs resort in New York, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a paradise in the heart of the Disney family of Orlando timeshare resorts.

The resort is designed with the historic Saratoga Springs resorts in mind, taking its cue from the late 1800s heyday that saw the affluent head to upstate New York for the horse racing and mineral spas.

With over 1300 rooms and timeshare villas, it may seem like it would become crowded, but with spacious, quiet rooms, a welcoming atmosphere, and easy access to Disney Parks and other Orlando attractions, it can soon become a family favorite worth returning to again and again.

Staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

This resort perfectly positions the vacationing couple or family to soak up the Disney Magic even when not touring the parks and attractions. From the decorations to the easy shuttle bus access to Disney Parks, the seamless vacation experience will immerse you in the world of Mickey Mouse and his friends.

All aspects of your trip can be coordinated from the resort, from dining reservations to park tickets, allowing you to maximize your time making memories instead of planning your itinerary.

Rooms and Villas

These Disney timeshare resales come in two basic categories: Standard and Preferred. Standard rooms are found at The Grandstand, The Carousel, and The Paddock while Preferred rooms are at The Springs and Congress Park.

All villas come with amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen with appliances and dishware, a washer/dryer, and Wi-Fi. Both villas and studio units have a spacious outdoor balcony with furniture, perfect for game nights and sipping a cup of coffee in the mornings.

Deluxe Studio Preferred/Standard

Studios are the hotel-style rooms on offer at the resort and are especially well suited for couples willing to trade the additional space of a separate bedroom for a good deal.

They can accommodate up to four people between the queen-sized bed and the pullout sofa in the living space. Even though they average 365 square feet, they still feel welcoming with the kitchenette, airy windows with views overlooking the waterways and grounds, an outdoor patio/balcony and a living/dining area.

One Bedroom Villa Standard/Preferred

These one-bedroom Disney timeshare resales feature all the standard and preferred suite options. Villas can accommodate up to five adults between the king-sized bed in the bedroom and two pullouts in the living room - one queen-sized, the other an optional twin-sized bed.

With the full-sized kitchen complete with major appliances and dishware, plus a spacious living room, a soaker tub in the bathroom, and 714 square feet of living space, these villas can be an enjoyable way to spend time at Saratoga Springs.

Two Bedroom Villa Standard/Preferred

The two-bedroom villas can be set up as either a regular or lock-off suite, with similar sizing and amenities between both options. They sleep up to nine guests with a king-sized bed in the main bedroom, two queen-sized beds in the second, and a queen-sized pullout bed in the living room, with an optional pull-out twin bed. Plus, multiple bathrooms make it easy to prepare for the day.

Like the one-bedroom suites, they come with a full-sized kitchen equipped with dishes, pots and pans, and major appliances, a soaker tub in the main bathroom, and Wi-Fi.

Three Bedroom Villa Standard/Preferred

If you are planning on bringing a large group of people to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa then the three-bedroom timeshares are going to be the best option to accommodate everyone in a single suite.

Three-bedroom Grand Villas can accommodate up to 12 people with one king-size bed, four queen-size beds, and one queen-size pull-down in the living room. They share the same amenities as the other multi-room villas.

Treehouse Villas

One of the most unique accommodation experiences at Disney, the Treehouse Villas are three-bedroom villas elevated 10 feet off the ground in the midst of the woodlands along the Sassagoula River.

Enjoy the fresh air and solitude of the balcony deck, while the fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining area, multiple bathrooms, in-unit washer/dryer and Wi-Fi all come in handy.

Resort Amenities and Recreation

The shimmering Village Lake, rolling green golf courses, and woodlands surrounding the Victorian-style resort create a setting as magical as any traveler to a Disney Vacation Club property could wish. Recreational activities abound from relaxing morning yoga sessions to jogging trails, the Lake Buena Vista Golf course, and onsite tennis, basketball, and shuffleboard courts.

Water activities can be found as well at any of the three leisure pools, two featured pools, or a scheduled bass fishing tour. One of the resort's three playgrounds is an aquatic playground with waterslides and fountains.

Inside, the Community Center and Turf Club Lounge offer activities for rainy days and evenings including pool tables, arts and crafts, video games, foosball, and ping pong tables. The arcade, located near High Rock Spring Pool, is also packed with both classic and modern games the whole family can enjoy.

Exploring Orlando Theme Parks and Attractions

One major benefit to these Disney timeshare resales is the easy access to Disney World theme parks via the shuttle bus system which will go to all the Disney parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. Whether young or old, these parks are the centerpiece of many Orlando vacations, and can easily fill up an entire weeklong vacation.

However, in addition to the Disney properties, there are many other theme parks and attractions to consider in the Orlando area. Self-parking is available onsite if you wish to also drive to places such as Universal Studios Orlando, known for its blockbuster movie-themed attractions and rides, SeaWorld, and west of Orlando, Legoland, and Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida.

Other Orlando-Area Attractions

Theme parks are not the only way you can enjoy the area while staying at the Disney Vacation Club. Some of the best non-theme park activities include trips featuring native Floridian flora and fauna along with Gator Tours, Everglades Airboat Rides, and trips to either the Gulf Coast or the Atlantic Coast, where you can spend a quality day at the beach picking seashells and swimming in the surf.

Also, you do not need to be a rocket scientist to enjoy a trip to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, about an hour east of Orlando, which is one of the top tourist sites on Florida's Space Coast.

Best Times to Stay in Disney Timeshares

Orlando is easily one of the top tourist destinations in the world and is especially well-known as a family-friendly place to go. Perhaps it is no surprise then that its busiest times of the year also coincide with the periods when children are most likely to be out of school.

The peak times are typically the summer months from June through August, mid-December through early January, and March when many schools hold spring breaks. Summer is the hottest season, but luckily with lots of water activities onsite at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, you will always have a way to beat the heat.

Shoulder season in Orlando runs from May through early June, February, and October. October can be a fun time to visit, since the temperatures start to drop and many of the theme parks go all out for Halloween, with a range of special events suitable for any age.

The slower season in Orlando typically comes just before or just after the peaks, so if you are wanting to beat the crowds while vacationing at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, you may want to consider traveling in April/May, January, and November/early December. The good news is those months also tend to have excellent weather.

Orlando experiences its coolest temperatures (sometimes into the 40s or 50s) during January, which will still feel warm to vacationers coming from a northern climate. April/May and November are warmer but allow you to avoid the heavier humidity and high temperatures found in the summer. Yet no matter when you visit, Orlando will be filled with fun activities to see and do, both indoors and out.
