Planning for a Daytona 500 or Bike Week Trip?

Blog Image

Posted on February 15, 2022

This week starts the Daytona dream season for gearheads across the country as the Daytona 500 takes place on Sunday, followed by festivities surrounding the Daytona Bike Week, which begins on Friday, March 4 and runs through March 13. With all of this action, travelers planning trips around the races and Bike Week will need a place to “crash”. That’s where we can help.

Although some visitors have been known to prefer more alternative accommodation (see the infield at the Daytona Speedway for proof) there are terrific resorts in the area to rest your head between activities.

When it comes to timeshares, owners have been known to buy specific timeshare weeks in Daytona just so they can use it during the 500 or Bike Week. So much so that an outcry was heard in 2017 when NASCAR moved the race date up a week from later in February to its current position leading up to the President’s Day holiday.

And for those who may think that Bike Week is just a bunch of bikers rolling through town, the event generates an estimated $75million in economic impact for the City of Daytona Beach, so this is a big deal for the local business community.
