The National Football League kicks off its new season this weekend as clearly the most popular sports league in America. With 32 NFL teams spread across 30 cities (some have two teams), that’s a lot of traveling around the country as fans check out these games week in and week out. Which brings us to timeshares.
Fans love to travel to watch their teams play, especially if your team is visiting a city for the first time in a while. Because of the way the NFL schedules are designed, some teams go years before visiting certain cities due to the conference and division alignments.
Are you thinking about heading out to see your team play on the road, and you have some timeshare points or the use of your timeshare is still available? If so, check out these timeshare resorts near NFL cities to see if you can use it to see your favorite team on the road this season.
Below are the teams in the NFL listed in alphabetical order (what other reason would we have to show the Cardinals first. Sorry Arizona fans, but you know it’s true). Along with these teams are the timeshares either in or near those cities.
Some timeshare resort locations may be some distance away, but since you have already paid for the accommodation it may be worth the extra travel time to stay in the timeshare, then head to the game.
The Cardinals play in Glendale near Phoenix. While Glendale is northwest of downtown Phoenix, it is also accessible from Scottsdale, where a number of timeshare resorts are located.

The Falcons play in downtown Atlanta, so it’s relatively easy to enjoy the game and the town on a Sunday when the brutal traffic of the area isn’t as bad as during the week. Unless it is a Monday or Thursday night game. Fortunately, Club Wyndham Atlanta is right in town and within walking distance to the stadium.

To see the Ravens play you’ll need to use reward points as there are no timeshares specifically located in Baltimore. The great part about timeshare ownership is that, depending on what you own, you can use points or exchange companies for options. Marriott Bonvoy points or Hilton Honors points should work. Otherwise, you could try Wyndham National Harbor which is about 43 miles away.

Buffalo is one of the trickier spots since there are no timeshares. However, depending on the time of year and managing the fickle Buffalo weather, you could try staying at a resort in western New York or at a camping facility, many of which have cabins onsite. An exchange company may be able to help, as there are some campgrounds not far from Orchard Park, where the Bills play.

The Panthers play in Charlotte, North Carolina and, while we are unaware of any timeshares specifically in Charlotte, there are resorts in western North Carolina that could work. Especially during fall foliage season.

One of the original NFL franchises dating back to 1920, the Bears have a loyal following but there is always a way for visiting fans to get tickets these days.

While there are no timeshares in Cincinnati, points owners can always try converting some of their points to rewards points to use at hotels near the stadium. Try Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors points and see what they offer.

Similar to the earlier post, there are no timeshares in Cleveland, but the good news is that Ohio has a number of excellent campgrounds so you may be able to exchange into one of them to see your team play. Depending on the time of year, of course. Otherwise try using rewards points.

Texas is loaded with timeshare resorts, but you’ll need to look closely to find one close to Dallas since most are on the Gulf Coast or further south toward Austin or San Antonio. The closest is Tanglewood Resort, about 1 ½ hours north in Pottsboro on the Red River. Otherwise, the Holiday Inn timeshares below are near recreational lakes about 2 hours away.

Denver is truly the entry point to the Rockies, but there are no timeshares in town. The closest towns would be Winter Park & Fraser (just over an hour away) and Breckenridge (about 1.5 hours) since the timeshares are usually developed closer to the mountains or in popular sky towns. It would be a great way to combine a trip to the Rocky Mountains with a football game.
