Ka'anapali Beach is the highlight of any stay at this Westin resort. Both the North and the South sections of the property have many water sports rentals stocked near the pools, making it convenient to go scuba diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and kayaking during your stay.

With easy beach access, you can enjoy full days on the water without having to worry about either driving or parking. Plus, the views from just about anywhere in and around these villas are sure to dazzle and delight even the most repeat visitor.

There are three main pools at the resort, one at the north and two at the south. Both of the primary pools are heated and overlook the ocean. The north pool, which is closer to the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas North, is more natural with free-flowing water going in and out of the nearby lagoons for a tranquil effect.

The other two pools are more active. The south pool has a water slide, and the Pirate Ship pool lets young travelers play pretend in their own pirate adventures while dodging sprays of water and walking the plank.

Children staying at the resort will also enjoy the Westin Kid's Club where they can do activities and crafts with their peers under trained adult supervision, giving their parents a little time to enjoy their own leisure activities.

Spa Helani is a consistent favorite among timeshare owners at the resort, with its skilled therapists, natural treatments, and customizable services.

As the sun goes down there is more to do at the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas North. There are several dining options throughout the resort. The north side's bar and restaurant has live music every night, and an array of drinks and dining options to choose from as well as a great location near the pool and beach.

An upscale Italian restaurant is also near the north villas, plus both the north and south villas have a market with casual grab-and-go options. Finally, the Polynesian Luau offers a wonderful mixture of dining, culture, and entertainment which you will not want to miss.

Other resort amenities include the 1,145-square-foot fitness studio which is equipped with state-of-the-art workout machines, weights, and cardio. It also hosts fitness classes with personal trainers and oceanfront yoga classes.

You may also want to rent a movie at the DVD library, log in to the business center, or hang out at the owner's lounge. Should you wish to cook outdoors, there are BBQ and picnic areas on the north side of the resort.

For your stay at the north villas, you can stay at a studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom villa. A studio villa has 480 square feet and can accommodate up to four adults. They are perfect for couples wanting a romantic retreat without a lot of extra space, as there is a king-sized bed plus a sleeper sofa.

It comes with a private lanai, a living area with a television and DVD player, and high-speed internet access. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator, a glass cooktop, a dishwasher, and a microwave oven, as well as dishware, a toaster, a blender, and a coffee maker. The bathroom has a whirlpool tub and a separate shower, and the studio also has a private washer and dryer.

A one-bedroom Westin timeshare has 750 square feet of space and can also accommodate up to four adults between the king-sized bed in the main bedroom and the sleeper sofa in the living room. It has all the same amenities as the studio, including the lanai, the washer/dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen. The one-bedroom kitchen has an added breakfast bar, plus additional living space.

There is a main kitchen plus a kitchenette near the second bedroom as well as two bathrooms, a larger dining area and living room, and two lanais, one large, one small.

Things to Do Near This Westin Timeshare Resort

The rolling cliffs of Ka'anapali form a striking backdrop to the stunning beaches found on this northern stretch of Maui. When Kings and Queens ruled Hawaii, this region was a royal escape, and it remains a popular vacation spot with many things to do during your stay.

Pu’u Keka’a, or Black Rock in English, is the best-known attraction. It is said that this is the place where spirits depart to join their ancestors, but for the living, it is also a popular place to go cliff diving and photographing. Torches are lit here nightly in a popular ceremony, and Black Rock Beach is fun for snorkeling and diving, although you’ll want to be careful of the currents for swimming.

A Maui timeshare shouldn't be without a trip to Whalers Village in nearby Lahaina. This open-air mall has several different restaurants and shops which are definitely worth a visit, and it is close to Ka'anapali beach. You may find other outdoor activities in the Ka'anapali area at one of the local golf courses, high above the ground on a Zipline tour, and hiking through Kahekili Beach Park.

On the water, there is no shortage of activities to choose from. Winter visitors will want to take a whale-watching cruise to see the magnificent humpback whales traveling along their annual migration routes.

Year-round there are fishing charters, sunset sailboat cruises, and kayaks to rent to explore ancient lagoons. Plus, you can rent scuba or snorkeling gear onsite to explore the natural wonders found beneath the surface including schools of fish and underwater plants.

Best Times to Visit a Maui Timeshare

beach view from resort

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Maui is a popular destination almost year-round. No matter when you visit, you are likely to find warm temperatures and a clear blue ocean, although the rainy season may put an occasional dampener on your outdoor plans. Since Kaanapali is on the leeward side of the mountains, rainfall is less of an issue here than in other parts of the island. And in winter, you will be greeted by Hawaii's welcoming beaches, especially if you are coming from a colder winter climate.

The most popular season to vacation at a Westin timeshare here is either in the late summer from July through August, or in the winter months, especially December through March. At this time, you can expect to find many other families taking advantage of the beautiful resort and making the most of their Hawaiian vacation, as well as spending time on the beaches and visiting local attractions.

The off-season at Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas North tends to follow the school year as well. It quiets down slightly during the late spring and early fall.

If you are looking for a less crowded time of year, and can be flexible in your travel plans, you may want to consider vacationing there from April to May, or from September to early November. The weather during these months is perfect for spending time outdoors, and it may be easier to find reservations and get perfect photographs at some of Maui's top attractions.

Whenever you choose to visit Maui, you are in for a special vacation. If you have any questions about Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas North or any of the Hawaii resorts, you can always leave us a message here or call us on 877-624-6889 and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
