Do you love visiting the Disney World theme parks in Florida? If so, then you need to know more about Disney Animal Kingdom Villas.

These Disney timeshare resales are part of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, one of the resort's most popular properties. Staying at the timeshares lets your family experience Disney magic like never before.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is the traditional hotel part of the resort, but people who select Disney timeshare resales can choose a villa at either Kidani Village or Jambo House.

Regardless of which one your family selects; the Animal Kingdom resort is an absolute favorite with many Disney World visitors from around the world. What sets Animal Kingdom apart from other resorts on the property?

An Unforgettable Encounter at Disney Animal Kingdom Villas

The people who love this resort often say that it's a piece of paradise. It surrounds guests in the magic and mystery of Africa while also letting you experience up-close-and-personal encounters with incredible wildlife.

The entire resort has an African theme, and the biggest selling point is the vast savannas on which it's possible to view an astonishing variety of wildlife like giraffes, zebras and many others.

Perhaps the only drawback to choosing Animal Kingdom Villas is the resort's location. It is on the far western side of the Disney property, which means that it will take you a little longer to get to the more traditional theme parks and water parks. Also, none of the parks are within walking distance from this deluxe resort.

However, you are also the closest to the Disney Animal Kingdom theme park and its amazing exhibits and experiences such as Pandora – The World of Avatar, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids and the spectacular Tree of Life.

Of course, the big advantage is that when you stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge, you have spectacular views of wildlife on a 24/7 basis. Disney also has an efficient bus system that shuttles guests around the Disney World complex.

Another reason to choose Disney Animal Kingdom Villas over other Disney Vacation Club resorts is the amazing number of on-site cultural activities that are available. Truly, if your family wants to learn, be entertained and enjoy a fantastic stay, this is the resort for you.

Kidani Village or Jambo House?

Disney Vacation Club members frequently debate whether the villas at Kidani Village or Jambo House are the best. The reality is that both offer outstanding experiences. However, they are definitely not the same.

Let's explore what makes each of these lodges different, which might help you decide which one is right for your family.

Jambo House is actually a part of the original Animal Kingdom Lodge, which means that it is attached to the hotel portion of the property. It has fewer villas than Kidani Village, so you might have a harder time finding villa availability. Nevertheless, fans of Jambo House say it is totally worth the effort.

That's partially because choosing Jambo House gives you access to the absolutely gorgeous and grand main lobby of the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's several stories high and beautifully themed, especially at Christmas.

Jambo House also appeals to some people because it has a larger pool. Called Uzima Springs Pool, it measures 11,000 square feet and has a water slide. Beautiful foliage, including banana trees, surrounds it.

Because Jambo House overlooks three savannas instead of two, some guests say that it's easier to see wildlife from these villas. Moreover, even standard view villas at Jambo House have a pool view or a partial view of a savanna. If you stay at Kidani Village and choose a standard view, there's a chance that you won’t get a wildlife view from your villa, even though there are viewing areas at the resort.

Families who have a member who find stairs difficult might prefer Jambo House because it has single-story grand villas.

Jambo House boasts amazing dining at The Mara, Boma and Jiko as well as numerous lounges and bars. It's also worth noting that the Zawadi Marketplace, one of the largest hotel gift shops in Disney World, is located here as well.

Kidani Village

Kidani Village is newer, and it was initially conceived and constructed as a Disney Vacation Club resort. Accordingly, it has only villas, but the lobby is much smaller and not as impressive. With a large inventory of rooms, it's usually easier to book a villa here.

That may be extremely worthwhile because Kidani Village has more of the larger villas on offer than Jambo House. If you have a bigger group or your family simply likes to have plenty of extra space to spread out, then the villas at Kidani Village may be the way to go.

Additionally, Kidani Village accommodations have more bathrooms than Jambo House rooms. The studios at Kidani Village have bathrooms with more square footage, and the one-bedroom units have two bathrooms while the two-bedroom villas have three bathrooms.

If you worry about bathroom crowding as your family gets ready in the morning, then you definitely want a Kidani Village unit.

Families traveling with kids might prefer Kidani Village's pool. Although it is "only" 4,700 square feet, the Samawati Springs Pool boasts a 128-foot water slide, a water playground and a zero-depth entry, all of which will definitely appeal to the younger members of your party.

Kidani also features two-story grand villas. While these may not be the best choice for people with mobility issues, these villas are seriously impressive with glorious two-story windows that look right out on the savanna. Additionally, you will be treated to two balconies so that there's plenty of room for everyone to view the wildlife that's just outside your room.

Compared to Jambo House's three savannas, Kidani Village has two. One of these sits at the front of the resort and tends to attract smaller animals. The other is the Sunset Savanna, the main savanna that also can be viewed from Jambo House.

Kidani Village also has Sanaa, arguably one of the finest dining experiences in all of Disney World. It features ground-level savanna views and serves breathtaking cuisine as well. If you are looking for an outstanding and incredibly memorable meal, Sanaa is where you'll find it.

Villas In-Depth

Kidani Village and Jambo House have studios for four guests, one-bedroom villas for five, two-bedroom villas for nine and three-bedroom grand villas for 12. Studios typically have one queen-sized bed and a double-sized sleeper sofa while one-bedroom villas have one king-sized bed, a queen-sized sleeper sofa and a twin-sized sleeper chair.

If you opt for a two-bedroom villa, the rooms typically will have one king-sized bed, two queen-sized beds, one queen-sized sleeper sofa and a twin-sized sleeper chair. The three-bedroom villas have four queen-sized beds, one king-sized bed and one queen-sized sleeper sofa.

Studio accommodations have a kitchenette that includes a small refrigerator and a microwave. If you choose any of the larger villa sizes, then you'll be treated to a full-size kitchen with everything you could possibly need to prepare and serve a feast.

The African theme remains consistent throughout the accommodations with warm earth tones and genuine wood furniture. Kitchens feature granite counters, black appliances and dark wood cabinets. Bathrooms may have luxurious soaking tubs and glass-walled showers.

Do Disney World in Style

Expedition Everest at Disney Animal Kingdom

Many visitors choose to stay at a Disney World resort because it makes it possible to stay in the "bubble" of Disney magic for their entire vacation. Multi-day theme park tickets are readily available. These grant all-day access to the four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Also on-site are two water parks: Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. It's possible to buy combination tickets that include entrance to the theme parks and the water parks, which is a convenient option for visitors who want to explore everything.

When it is time to enjoy a fantastic meal, some delicious libations, live entertainment and unique shopping, head on over to Disney Springs. This shopping and entertainment district always has something going on. Whether you are in the mood to pick up some mouse ears or enjoy dinner prepared by a celebrity chef, Disney Springs is the place to be.
