Buy or Sell DVC Resales

What can we help you with?

    DVC Resales

DVC resales give Disney fans an amazing opportunity to buy into the Disney Vacation Club program, with discounted prices and the ability to vacation at DVC resorts every year.

With discounts as much as 50% off the retail cost of DVC points, purchasing DVC resales rather than buying directly from Disney can save you thousands of dollars on your purchase.

Read on for more information about how the program works. If you need more details about buying or selling on the resale market, give us a call at 877-624-6889 or fill out our contact form and we'll have a licensed agent respond as soon as we can.

    How Do DVC Resales Work?

The DVC resale market is made up of private owners and timeshare brokers looking to sell DVC points to consumers looking for the best and most economical way to become a Disney Vacation Club member.

Buyers purchase points that are attached to a specific resort, known as a home resort, and those points are actually deeded to that resort through a Trust managed by Disney. Points are used within the DVC system as a form of vacation currency, so you will look at the available weeks at your resort and use those points to book your vacation week.

    How Many Points are Needed?

The size of the unit you want and the time of year requested is determined by the number of points you own. For example, a buyer looking to stay at Disney Beach Club villas in Orlando will see a range of studio, one- and two-bedroom unit options for a vacation. If a one-bedroom villa is needed, the number of points required for a week’s vacation can range from 192 for a September stay to 367 points for a stay over Christmas week. Summer weeks at Beach Club generally require from 232 to 260 points depending on the week.

Disney sells points for over $200 per point, so DVC resale points at around $100-125 per point can save buyers a significant amount of money on their purchase.

This is a great way to guarantee a vacation at a DVC resort every year – with fans of all things Disney able to plan a trip to their favorite Disney theme park, whether it is at Disney World or Disneyland.

Disney Recommends Using Licensed Resale Brokers

Because Disney Vacation Club does not have an in-house resale department, Disney recommends that points owners use the services of a licensed resale broker to sell DVC resales. Brokers operate on a no upfront fee basis, working on commission so they only get paid once a sale is made. That is a trusted method for sellers, while buyers know that the broker can hold their deposit in escrow and protect their interests as well.

Licensed brokerage agents handle the negotiation, prepare and execute the paperwork for the sale and facilitate the process with the closing company to make the entire process as smooth as possible.

Some of the most popular DVC resales are located in the following resorts:

    Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

The grande dame of Disney timeshare resorts, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort sits next to the Seven Seas Lagoon and within walking distance to the Magic Kingdom. The onsite monorail platform gives DVC owners the option to ride to the Kingdom or any of the other parks and resorts on the system.

The fabulous studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units offer variety for any family size with kitchen facilities, living areas and all the unique touches that make Disney so special.

World-class dining options center on the renowned Victoria & Albert's restaurant – a AAA Five Diamond award winner each year since 2001. Other café’s, restaurants and the elegant Grand View Tea Room make this retreat a special destination.

Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Located at the iconic Contemporary Resort, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort has been hosting owners since 2009 and adds the perfect upgrades to this legendary Disney resort. Studio, one- and two-bedroom units include kitchens, living space and the all-important free Wi-Fi service.

Multiple swimming pools and the fantastic 148-foot water slide complement the activities available at Bay Lake, including jet ski rentals.

Onsite beverage and dining options offer choices from California Grill to the fantastic Top of the World Lounge with incredible views of the Magic Kingdom, exclusive to DVC members from the 16th floor of Bay Lake Tower.

    Disney’s Boardwalk Villas

With easy access to Epcot Center and Disney Hollywood Studios, the DVC timeshares at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas provide spacious accommodations right in the middle of all the action.

The Disney boardwalk complex is home to numerous shopping, dining and entertainment venues with easy access from your DVC resale timeshare. Studio, one- two- and three-bedroom unit configurations provide all the space and amenities you need to thoroughly enjoy your Disney stay.

The resort complex was developed with the classic days of 1940’s Atlantic City in mind. Enjoy your choice from two swimming pools, 200ft water slide, whirlpool spa, or head over to the Flying Fish Café.

    Disney’s Beach Club Villas

If a more laid-back, New England-style vacation vibe is more to your liking, Disney’s Beach Club Villas are the timeshares of choice for you. Studio, one- and two-bedroom units offer the advantages of home-like amenities but with the Disney flair you’re looking for in a DVC vacation.

The kids will be entertained for hours at the “shipwreck” at Stormalong Bay with a choice of three swimming pools, pool slide, lazy river, and kiddie pools for the little ones. Parents can relax in the whirlpool spas, lounge on the tanning deck or enjoy more water-based activities on Crescent Lake.

Cafes, restaurants and lounges for a refreshing cocktail can all be part of the unwinding experience after a day at the theme parks. You are within walking distance of Epcot or a boat cruise away from Disney Hollywood Studios, along with transportation to the other Disney parks.

    Disney's Old Key West Resort

This amazing cornerstone of the DVC resort collection, Disney's Old Key West Resort has been a staple of the Disney timeshare resort family since its opening in 1991. The resort has been a memory-maker for generations of Disney fans and continues to reflect the charm of DVC ownership as members return every year to embrace the experience.

Combining the easy-going atmosphere of Key West with the high energy pace of the Disney theme parks isn’t easy, but Disney's Old Key West Resort pulls it off with a choice of four swimming pools, sauna, whirlpool spa, and sandy beach. A fitness center, bike rentals, game room, sports courts, playground and even fishing will give you an abundance of activities for every age range. And that’s before you hit the parks.

Studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom timeshare villas provide everything you need for a spacious, comfortable vacation. Even the studios have cooking options if you are looking for a quick meal or snack, while the multi-room villas offer full kitchen, washer/dryer and whirlpool tub along with the living room and dining area.

    Aulani Disney Vacation Club Villas

For DVC resale buyers looking for options outside of the Disney parks, Disney's Aulani Vacation Club Villas provide a unique Hawaiian experience that adds even more value to your Disney Vacation Club membership.

Located on Oahu along the famed beaches of Ko Olina, you are only about 20 minutes from Honolulu airport but a world away from the frenzy of Waikiki. Disney has gone to great lengths to provide a cultural experience and highlight the qualities of the indigenous Hawaiians that make this an educational event as well as a vacation.

The magnificent beach is the centerpiece, but the resort also offers multiple swimming pools, whirlpool spas, kid’s pool, Rainbow Reef snorkeling lagoon and the Laniwai full-service spa. There is also a fitness center, guided nature walks, multiple restaurants and lounges and golf at the nearby Ko Olina Golf Club.

Accommodations range from hotel rooms to studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom timeshare units. Remember that because DVC is a points-based system, your accommodation choice is only limited by the number of points you own, which is great when buying DVC points on the discounted resale market.
