Great Wyndham Timeshares Heading Into Summer

Blog Image

Posted on April 26, 2022

Summer is right around the corner and all indications are that it’ll be a big travel season for families hitting the road after two years of COVID-related stops and starts.

A recent study by Longwoods International revealed that only 19 percent of travelers said COVID would greatly impact their travel decisions over the next six months. This is the lowest percentage of the pandemic era and reflects a confidence among Americans to plan their next summer vacation without the trepidation experienced since 2020.

Gas prices are a different story, as we talked about in our blog post from earlier this week, with two-thirds of those surveyed saying high gas prices will affect their travel plans.

The good news for timeshare owners, and especially Wyndham timeshare and Club Wyndham points owners, is that timeshare resorts are located across the country in 46 states as well as Washington, D.C. Exchange companies make it easier for owners to find resorts closer to home, and the four-hour driving window seems to be the new normal for reducing gas bills while planning a family getaway.

Wyndham Timeshares are Nearly Everywhere

Wyndham is in a great position to be able to provide the flexibility vacationers need when planning trips, having pivoted in 2020 to rely more on drive-to travelers hesitant to fly during the height of the pre-vaccination COVID period.

Over 240 resorts are listed by Wyndham on its platform across the varying brands connected to the world’s largest timeshare company. About 200 of those are showing within the continental U.S. with resorts in nearly every area of the country.

With all of these options, we’ve taken a look at some of the top Wyndham timeshares heading into summer to give you a few ideas in case you are in the planning stage.

Top Wyndham Timeshares in Summer Destinations

Below you’ll see some of our most popular Wyndham resorts based on feedback from consumers placing offers and inquiries through our web platform. Resorts are listed in descending order toward the most popular, and these particular locations are known as great summer destinations so check them out.

Wyndham Vacation Resorts at Glacier Canyon (Baraboo, WI)

Located in south-central Wisconsin and close to the famed waterparks of Wisconsin Dells, this town boasts wineries, state parks and, as the home of the Ringling Brothers, the Circus World Museum with live performances.

With arcade game rooms, onsite water slides and more, you’ll have a blast at this resort from your one-, two-, three or four-bedroom timeshare unit.

Wyndham Vacation Resorts Panama City Beach (Panama City Beach, FL)

Balcony view overlooking beach

The Gulf Coast of the Florida panhandle is one of the best beach destinations in America and Panama City Beach is easily within reach of many states in the eastern and central parts of the country. While you’re there, grab a bite at Pier Park, check out the Gulf World Marine Park or splash down at Shipwreck Island Park.

Twenty-seven miles of beach stretches along the coastline, with smaller waves and shallow areas perfect for the little ones. The resort is right on the beach, perfect from your studio, one-, two- or three-bedroom unit.

Wyndham Seawatch Plantation (Myrtle Beach, SC)

Beaches, shopping, live entertainment, attractions and more great golf courses than you could ever play in a week, Myrtle Beach has everything you need for a terrific vacation. Hit the Boardwalk, ride the Sky Wheel, check out Broadway at the Beach or splash around Myrtle Waves Water Park.

Because your resort is right on Myrtle Beach, you can come in from the surf to enjoy the pool, lazy river or hot tub. Or relax in your one-, two-, three- or four-bedroom suite.

Wyndham at Waikiki Beach Walk (Honolulu, HI)

Waikiki Beach, the name says it all. This world-famous beach destination hosts visitors from around the world, and the amazing water sports and natural attractions are second to none. Plus, you don’t have to drive hours to get there, just hop on a flight and let the pilot do the “driving” for you.

You’re only a couple of blocks off the beach and next to the Waikiki Beach Walk shopping mall with its cafes, restaurants and events. All accessible from your one-, two-, three- or four-bedroom timeshare.

Wyndham Kingsgate (Williamsburg, VA)

Combine the impressive history of Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown with the excitement of Busch Gardens and Water Country USA and you’ll have a great time in the Historic Triangle of Virginia.

Enjoy the Governor's Palace, House of Burgesses or any of the 100 restored building in this former colonial capital of Virginia. Afterwards, retreat to your one-, two- or three-bedroom suite or relax in the resort’s pool, sauna or hot tub.

Wyndham Smoky Mountains (Sevierville, TN)

Wyndham resort overlooking mountains

The Great Smoky Mountains provide the backdrop for this stunningly scenic destination, but there’s more to this spot than just the aesthetics. Dollywood and the attractions of Pigeon Forge are just down the road, and the wineries and restaurants of Gatlinburg are easily reached as well.

But the big drawcard is the majesty of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. So settle into your one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom unit and get ready for outdoor adventures.

Wyndham Branson at The Meadows (Branson, MO)

Close to Table Rock State Park and with easy access to the Highway 76 entertainment corridor, this resort in the town billed as the "Live Entertainment Capital of The World" is one of the most family-friendly spots in the country.

Outdoor activities at Table Rock Lake combine with attractions like Silver Dollar City, Talking Rocks Cavern and Dolly Parton's Stampede to provide loads of fun. One-, two-, three- and four-bedroom unit options make the perfect home base.

Wyndham Ocean Walk  (Daytona Beach, FL)

Wyndham Ocean Walk on Daytona Beach

The “World’s Most Famous Beach” is the ideal place for a summer vacation, but there is much more to Daytona Beach than driving up and down on the sand. The renowned Daytona International Speedway hosts NASCAR races such as the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at the end of August.

The Boardwalk, Main Street Pier, water parks and even a Chocolate Factory add to the fun. The sand and surf are right on your doorstep within easy reach of your one-, two-, three- or four-bedroom suite.

Wyndham Ocean Boulevard (North Myrtle Beach, SC)

The locals point out that North Myrtle Beach is its own distinct area compared to Myrtle Beach, and you’ll quickly see why. With a laid-back vibe, it’s the place to be for a beach-based retreat, yet close enough to the attractions that make this place so special.

Toss a line from the Cherry Grove Fishing Pier or check out the shops and restaurants at Barefoot Landing. The beach is adjacent to the resort, so you’re just steps from the sand and waves. One-. two-, three- and four-bedroom units make it all possible.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek (Lake Buena Vista, FL)

Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort

It wouldn’t be a summer vacation list without including Orlando, since the Mouse is always on. Summer is prime time for Disney World, Universal, SeaWorld and the rest of the Orlando-area attractions, especially for Disney fans who make their annual pilgrimage to the Castle.

Even though the theme parks are outside of the half-day driving distance for most Americans, families tend to make the effort due to the world-renowned attractions that have put Orlando on the map.

As one of the crown jewels of the Wyndham timeshare network, Wyndham Bonnet Creek is a superior choice for its location on Disney property as well as the numerous pools, bars, restaurants and organized activities. One-, two- three- and four-bedroom suites provide all the comfort and space you need after a day at the parks.

These are some of the many Wyndham timeshare resorts ready to host your next summer vacation trip.
