Are you seeking a Disney World adventure that your family will remember for a lifetime? If so, then you can't go wrong with a timeshare at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

These one-of-a-kind Disney timeshares are among the deluxe tier of resorts at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Evoking the mystery and beauty of Polynesia, these Disney Vacation Club accommodations are definitely a step above the rest.

These ultra-private accommodations include nearly 400 luxurious villas and 20 over-the-water bungalows that are inspired by Bora Bora. The bungalows are simply astonishing, each one featuring a private deck with a pool and hanging chairs. Just as enchanting is the view. You'll be able to see Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom and the Seven Seas Lagoon from the comfort of your deck.

The Villas and Bungalows are part of the larger Polynesian Village Resort, so guests who choose their DVC points to stay in these Disney timeshares gain access to all resort amenities such as multiple pools, boat rentals and activities like hula dancing.

The resort boasts great transportation options, including the world-famous monorail and ferry service to nearby parks and attractions. With views of the famous fireworks at night and Hawaiian-themed dining on-site, it's easy to see why this Disney Vacation Club property is so popular with families around the world.

An Overview of the Resort

The Seven Seas Lagoon is a major feature of this stunning resort, which was extensively remodeled in 2015 and recently refurbished to include rooms with a Moana theme. Overall, the property contains eleven buildings, but only a portion of these include Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows timeshares.

This original Disney resort is incredibly popular with guests. The overall experience may not be precisely authentic from a Polynesian standpoint, but it is certainly distinctive, memorable and fun. Accommodations are tropical style and inviting in this smoke-free property.

Lush tropical landscaping is found throughout. With an excellent location that's close to the Magic Kingdom plus numerous kids' activities, this resort is a clear winner for most guests.

Remember that renovations are currently underway as the resort expands to add a new DVC timeshare building, which is expected to be completed in late 2024. New recreation and dining options are also part of the expansion, which will add villas to the existing 360 and 20 bungalows onsite.

Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows Accommodations

Studio unit

Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows offer guests a choice of deluxe studios or bungalows. The deluxe studios can sleep as many as five guests and are equipped with a private terrace or balcony and a kitchenette. In a split bathroom, families will find that on one side they have a combination tub and shower with a sink and toilet while the other side has a sink and walk-in shower.

The 20 bungalows are truly exclusive, including gated access, private decks and private plunge pools. Each bungalow features two bathrooms and can sleep up to eight guests.

A full kitchen makes it easy to prepare even the most complex and delicious meals. Washers and dryers are included in the bungalows as well. Inspired by the traditional houses that you might find in places like Bora Bora, the bungalows are exquisitely rendered with wooden ceiling beams, genuine wood floors, pleasing yet bold accent colors and surfaces that are inspired by lava rocks.

Throughout the property, guests have access to complimentary Wi-Fi, and flat-screen televisions are found in every room. Most accommodations have at least views of the lagoon, guaranteeing beautiful vistas from most windows and the deck.

On-Site Dining

It's not surprising that these Disney timeshares feature some fantastic dining on-site. 'Ohana is a favorite with families as it offers character breakfasts. There's a dinner buffet as well that's perfect for hungry guests after a busy day.

Kona Café also is on-site. Featuring a menu of sushi and other Asian-inspired dishes, this eatery provides a wonderful opportunity to sample some authentic fare.

In total, there are 10 different options for eating and drinking on-site. Many of these are of the grab-and-go variety, which might be perfect for those busy theme park days. Two lounges are found on-site as well.

Swimming and Lounging

Guests of Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows have a pair of pools from which to choose. The Lava Pool is 120,000 gallons and has a stunning volcano as a centerpiece. That volcano is equipped with a water slide that stretches almost 150 feet from top to bottom. Also included are gorgeous tropical surroundings, in-pool seating and a zero-depth entrance.

The more relaxed Oasis Pool is a calm and quiet retreat with plenty of lush vegetation and many chairs for lounging away the hours.

If your family is looking for a slightly different experience near the water, make your way over to the Seven Seas Lagoon. At the Seven Seas Marina, it is possible to rent various pleasure craft. Moreover, guests may arrange guided fishing excursions on the lagoon.

This lagoon is a man-made lake that is 14-feet deep and can be traversed by ferry to reach the Magic Kingdom theme park. The lagoon also is the site of a nightly electrical pageant that's worth seeing more than once during your stay.

For the Kids

The whole family will find a great deal to delight them at this Disney Vacation Club property.

Complimentary campfire activities in the evenings let you toast marshmallows by a crackling fire. Movies Under the Stars let families enjoy favorite Disney movies outdoors on the Great Ceremonial House Lawn. Every night the Electrical Water Pageant features sea creatures cruising the lagoon to their favorite Disney tunes. Hula dance lessons and a Lava Pool Party is great for any age.

For a fee, it's possible to purchase childcare services for children 6 months to 12 years old through the Kid’s Night Out program when the parents are craving an evening to themselves.

What Can You Do at Disney World?

Your stay at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is just one highlight of your vacation, but you'll probably spend most of your time exploring the four theme parks that make up Disney World.

These parks include the original Magic Kingdom as well as EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Each one offers unique and eclectic experiences that are designed for the family to enjoy. Included in each park are rides and attractions that are suitable for even the youngest guests as well as thrilling rides and experiences that are best reserved for adults and older kids.
