Looking back at last year and the offer numbers timeshare buyers placed through our platform revealed some interesting selections that we wanted to share with our readers. So, we’ve assembled our list of the top 10 timeshare resorts in 2022 which is slightly different than in previous years, or even in previous posts this year.
One of the criticisms of the timeshare resale market in general, and resale companies in particular, is the assumption that only the big, hospitality-branded resorts get the love on the secondary market. While the marketing machines of the big brands certainly contribute to this theory (and you can’t blame them since it is their job to sell timeshare), other less recognizable brands are also gaining attention from savvy buyers looking for specific resorts.
Therefore, we’ve compiled our top 10 list based on the number of offers placed through our system, but also considering the way the more well-known brands can sometimes skew the results.
There are some surprises, so let’s take a look.
Below, we have chosen the top timeshare resort for each of the companies shown below, assessing the most popular resort for each company based on resale offers. This way, if a resort from a lesser-known company attracted a noticeably large number of offers, it could make the list.
You’ve probably guessed this one due to the previous blogs we’ve posted that include this decidedly popular resort next to Disney World. Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek is a jewel in the Wyndham Vacation Ownership crown, with easy access to the Disney theme parks yet with all of the great amenities you want in a vacation resort.
Multiple swimming pools, lazy river, children’s pool, onsite bars and restaurants and kid’s activity program meet all your needs. All from your one-, two-, three- or four-bedroom suite.
The one that started it all, Sheraton Vistana Resort was originally built in 1980 and is considered the first of the Orlando timeshare resorts. But there’s nothing nostalgic about this resort that continues to be as popular as ever.
With all the modern upgrades, you’ll find seven pools, eight hot tubs, sauna and steam rooms, tennis, volleyball, mini-golf, game room, arts & crafts for the kids, five food and bar outlets and much more. One- and two-bedroom villas make it all possible.
With all of the terrific Marriott Vacation Club resorts in its program, this may come as a bit of a surprise. But the Palm Desert/Palm Springs area has always been popular with vacationers going back to the Sinatra-led Rat Pack days of the 1950s.
Next to its sister resort, Marriott's Desert Springs Villas, Marriott's Desert Springs Villas II offers access to this legendary location, next to the Desert Springs Golf Club. Seven pools, hot tubs, fitness center, tennis courts, The Shade Kid’s Club and refreshments from The Water's Edge Bar & Grill provide the fun before retreating to your studio, one- or two-bedroom villa.
This Capital Vacations resort leads the pack of the nearly 200 independent resorts they work with, and with all that this south Florida resort in Pompano Beach offers, it’s easy to see why.
Oceanfront with private beach access, at La Costa Beach Club Resort you’ll see three swimming pools (with indoor and outdoor options), two hot tubs, fitness center, outdoor grills and close to a Trampoline Park, Xtreme Action Park and Harrah’s Casino. Choose from studio, one- and two-bedroom units and the one-bedroom townhouse.
